Automatically Collected Information: Includes device type, operating system, IP address, and log data. Reminder Content Text you enter for reminders Voice transcripts generated using OpenAI's voice-to-text and text-to-speech services Audio logs (limited) and transcripts may be retained for debugging and model training purposes Frequency and timing of reminder creation and calls App interaction patterns (e.g., reminder completions, skips, or delays) Technical metadata including device type, operating system, IP address, crash logs 2. How We Use Your Information The information we collect is used for the following purposes: To provide and enhance the functionality of the app. To ensure the security and proper operation of the app. To respond to user inquiries and support requests. Deliver reminder calls using Twilio and OpenAI voice models Convert your reminders into voice using OpenAI’s API Improve the app experience by analyzing behavior and feedback Train our models and systems for improved speech synthesis and understanding (where permitted) Provide technical support and prevent misuse Call Delivery Notice: Reminder calls are delivered via Twilio, a third-party telecommunication provider. While we aim to ensure reliable delivery, we cannot guarantee successful call delivery in all cases (e.g., due to call blocking, carrier issues, or signal loss). 3. Data Storage and Security We store your data securely on servers located in the United States. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Only authorized personnel have access to this data. Some usage data is stored via Mixpanel in the EU. 4. Third-Party Services 818 uses the following third-party services: Twilio – For placing outbound reminder calls OpenAI – For converting reminder text into natural-sounding speech and processing voice input Supabase - for storing user data Mixpanel Digital Ocean to provide the server By using 818, you acknowledge that your phone number, reminder content, and possibly voice interactions may be processed by these services in accordance with their privacy policies. 5. Data Retention and Deletion We retain data: As long as necessary to deliver reminder services For limited periods to improve app quality and AI model performance Reminder content and usage logs may be retained in anonymized or pseudonymized form for research and development You may request deletion of your personal data at any time. Upon request, we will remove your data from our active systems, though some residual information may persist temporarily in backups. 6.
